As a user, I should be able to get separate statements for Amazon Pay Balance, Amazon Pay ICICI Card, Amazon Pay Later, Amazon Pay UPI and have the option for an 'All Transactions' statement as well involving all the transactions that have occurred regardless of the instrument (as external instruments are also used).
As a user, I should receive monthly statements on my email. As a customer, I should be able to feel safe and would want the statement to be password protected.
Derived Goals
Competitive benchmarking
Note: Benchmarks are in regards to there state at the time of research rather then the present UI of these competitors which is subject to keep changing over the course of time.
Before reinventing the wheel, we had a look at how other players in the market, were solving the problem of downloading a transaction statement.
Clear ‘Download statement’ call-to-action on transaction history page. Can be placed in a more defined place and hierarchy.
Extensive duration based filters which includes Present and Custom ranges as well as Financial Year based presets.
The ‘Download statement’ call-to-action is placed in the more options sections at the top-right. This might hinder feature discoverability. Can be served as a part of the main UI.
Available duration selector for downloading statement. There can be more preset selectors for duration selection.
